Squirrels

Get the weekend off to a great start by being part of Studley’s first Squirrel Drey! Squirrels are aged 4 and 5 and meet for 1 hour packed with games, activities and full of fun! We meet between 9 and 10am on a Saturday morning during school term time.

Squirrels are the youngest members of the Scouting family and enjoy getting involved in activities such as den building, hikes and scavenger hunts as well as joining in with crafts, cooking and playing games, making new friends and having loads of fun indoors and out.

Our Squirrel Drey has four ‘nests’, and each invested Squirrel becomes a member of a ‘nest’ learning to work as part of a team for games and taking part in team challenges.

The Squirrel programme is built around developing skills for life and many of our activities help Squirrels work towards achieving badges and ultimately achieving the highest Squirrel award – Chief Scout’s Acorn Award.

Squirrels is led by a team of adult volunteers who also love to have loads of fun and who bring a wealth of experiences and interests to make sure our youngest Scouts have chance to take part in and be part of a wide range of opportunities in our Drey and as part of our community.

Around their 6th birthday, Squirrels scamper on up to Beavers to continue their Scouting journey, equipped with a huge range of skills ready to meet new challenges with their new Colony.

If having fun, making new friends and learning new skills is something you’re interested in, then we’d love to see you!
