At Scouts we celebrate difference and welcome everyone.
Whatever your background, identity or ability, there’s a volunteer spot with your name on it.
Volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.
Scouts can make you feel good in other ways too. We’ll guide you to an opportunity where you’ll:
If you can only occasionally help, that’s OK. Whether you’d like to be an activity planner, tea-maker or craft creator, we appreciate any time you can spare.
You can give as much or a little time you like and we will match opportunities that fit your skills and time available. If you would like to have fun and make friends, earn professional qualifications and make a real difference to the lives of young people please contact us.
For anyone thinking of becoming a Scout, I say, go for it, come and join the big adventure.
We are always on the lookout for new volunteer leaders to help run our Squirrels Drey, Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs and Scout Troops. With groups running on many nights of the week and some at weekends, we can be incredibly flexible to fit your schedule. There is comprehensive training and support available, the amount of training required depends on the role you choose and time you have available. Much of the initial training is online, we also host first aid training at our own scout hut.
We also need people to help at a Group level, contributing towards the running of all our sections. This could be accounting and budgeting for a section, helping to maintain the scout hut, liaising with other groups in West Warwickshire Scout District to run District Events or running a big Group Camp for all our young people.
Scouting isn’t just for Young People, our Adult Volunteers have great fun too and make friends for life!
